Life is what you make it right? But it’s not always easy.
And often times when you’re thinking I need a vacation it’s for good reason.
How many times have you said that?
I know I have many times over.
Almost like a broken record.
Life is also for taking vacations and reaping the benefits.
We’re all busy raising kids, working hard, rushing around getting things done, filling up planners with professional and family to do’s.
Seems there’s never enough time to do the fun stuff.
Ok, so I agree that THE answer to taking a break from obligations may just be the ultimate vacation.
But here’s the thing… it’s not always possible, right?
So for now, we will try to do the next best thing.
Instead of just daydreaming, it’s important to implement some small simple changes to make real stuff happen in everyday life.
Until the next work or school break.
Just carving out small amounts of time consistently over the week to do a few things together also brings on great satisfaction and happiness.
Spending quality time with the ones we love can be done anywhere, and most often, it starts at home.
Implement small changes.
Reap a pile of benefits.
Repeat. Enjoy. Together.
Check out a few ideas to get you started..
TRY OUT A FEW RECIPES IN THE KITCHEN TOGETHER
It’s always fun to gather the family and try out new recipes over the weekend.
This helps to create quality time and get them out of their comfort zones of having mom always cook for them.
Each child young or older can have their own task, it doesn’t have to be complicated.
Keep it simple and just enjoy together.
BE A TOURIST AT HOME TOGETHER
How many times have you wished you could just take off?
I think about it all the time while doing dishes or on my way to work.
I’m a firm believer that even if you’re not somewhere across the world on a “proper” vacation, that you can still explore and enjoy.
In your own backyard!
Most of us scramble to get enough money for vacations. Often there are no steps in working towards a real plan, or maybe 2 steps forward and 1 step back. Either way, in the end, our good intentions backs us up against a wall.
The main reason is that even though life is good, it is also full of bills and unexpected situations.
But if taking a vacation is important to you, and if you’re here, I can only imagine that it is, then there are simple actions you can implement.
In the end, you will save money. You will go on a stress-free vacation. You will recharge and enjoy!
